Turn off the E6 north of Lillehammer or at Vinstra (Guldbransdalen), and you are on RV255, a beautiful strech of national road. The road passes through a rich cultural landscape. Along it you will find Aulestad, home of the famous writer Bjørnestierne Bjørnson, writer of the national anthem of Norway.
Further on the route you also find village churches, art galleries, handicraft, theatres, and not to forget geological potholes.
