The summer open Peer Gynt road combines Skeikampen with the tourist locations in Peer Gynts Kingdom. Skeikampen is an attractive ski resort in winter, and in summer you can play tennis, go golfing, fishing, hiking, and cycling. Skeikampen has a tradition of being a tourist spot, dating back to 1876. Since then, people have come here to recharge their batteries and enjoy the lovely fresh mountain air and peaceful surroundings.
Skeikampen has a stable and dry alpine climate, and is known for its winters with a lot of snow from November untill May.
Skeikampen offers a great variety in landscape. You will find rocky mountains and deep forests. Both the alpine slopes and the cross country tracks are in easy terrain that fits most people.
The Alpine Centre has been developed into a very modern ski destination, with especially good conditions for new beginners and children. The Alpine Centre also have a fun park that is also worth a try.
